These SG Brown Head Phones Type F R4000 Ohms are in pretty good condition considering their age. A fantastic representative of radio/broadcasting history. A wonderful addition to a radio ephemera collection, and very stylish!
These Type F have Black bakelite earpieces, Aluminium earpiece cradle, and headband with the original leads. The headphones have a few scuffs and surface scratches commensurate with age and use. The outer part of the black cord is in pretty good condition. They have been tested and they are working with a total output of ~ 3800 Ohms.

Patent 203121 was granted in 1923, and the headphones initially produced at SG Brown Ltd in Acton, London, UK. They were well known for their radio equipment, microphones and military radio. Brown’s described Type F head receivers as featherweight and having ‘dependability.’
The company was taken over by Racal Electronics Ltd in the 1980s.
