This is a Setright Midland Red West Bus Ticket Machine In Its Original Carry Case With Ticket Roll.

Made by Setright Registers Ltd, I am not sure of the machine's model number or manufacturing date: it must be post-1971 as the fares are issued in decimals, and the Midland Red West buses only came in to service in 1981. 

The ticket machine is in fair cosmetic and working condition, with scratches/blemishes and loss of coating commensurate with age and use. Although working, the ribbon does need re-inking.

The hard plasticised cardboard carry box, with corner protectors, is intact but distressed with bashes, bumps, holes and scratches as you might expect from a working case.

It comes with one Midland Red West unprinted ticket roll, slightly faded and 25mm in width.

Machine Features include:-

• Top mounted metal ticket punch: (makes small hole in the ticket like a hole punch)
• Removable turning handle
• Issuing tickets on a blank paper roll that does not need to be changed with fare/price changes thereby saving costs
  
• Mechanical counters showing the total amount of money taken and the number of ticket issued/no. of passengers
• Concentric dials which can be set to the type of fare issued e.g Adult/ Child
