This is a Set of 4 Murphy Radio Metal Letterpress Vintage Television Printing Plates / Blocks. Supplied in the original envelope with accompanying letter from Murphy radio Limited, Radio and Electrical Manufacturers, Broadwater Road, Welwyn Garden City, Herts. UK

A little slice of history, dating to April 1950, these letterpress printing plates were sent to retailers and dealers by Murphy Radio to create their own marketing material. They refer to them as 'Illustration blocks' and were produced for different layouts. This particular set was produced for Murphy branded Televisions.

In this case, the purchaser was:-

Messrs. Shepperson Bros, Market Place, Sutton-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire

In good condition with scuffs and blemished commensurate with age and use.
