This is a classic RAF Walters 12oz Type 51 10F 20366 Vulcan Bomber Morse Key. It has been mounted on a wood base for ease of use. In good used cosmetic condition with a few scuffs and blemishes.
A similar Walters key was also fitted to the first jet airliner, the de Havilland Comet (see appended extract from the Morsum Magnificat publication MM34, July 1994), hence this key is also dubbed the 'Comet key.'
Dating to the late 1940s/ early 1950s, it is marked 10F/20366, 12 ozs, Type 51: Where 10F = Radio (Wireless and Radar) Starters and Switch Gear.
