This is a Price Bros Pottery Melba Springtime 1940s Ribbed Jug Vase, manufactured in Staffordshire, England.
This lovely jug/ vase was probably made in the 1940s. It has a mottled peach background with embossed spring flowers in blue, cream, yellow and violet, and with green leaves.
It is in good condition, with no restoration work, cracks, chips or staining.
The jug would look lovely filled with spring flowers or used as a water pitcher for afternoon tea!
The maker’s mark on the base was used by Price Brothers from 1934-1961.

Price Bros was an earthenware manufacturer that was established at the Crown Works, Burslem, Staffordshire, England, 1896. After 1903, the company continued as Price Bros (Burslem) Ltd at a different works and changed its name again in 1962 to Price and Kensington Potteries Ltd. They are mainly known for their ‘cottage ware’ teapots.
