Nikon F2S Photomic 35mm SLR Camera With DP2 Finder

On offer today we have a lovely working example of this well rated Nikon F2S Photomic 35mmSLR Camera with DP2 Finder. The camera serial number dates manufacturing to 1978/79 and has a black body. The F2 was the last of Nikon’s handmade and mechanical cameras.

(Mechanical 35mm SLR, meter couples to Nikon F, AI and AI-s lenses and uses two common A76 button cells- not included).

Designed to fit any Nikon F2 camera, the Photomic Finder DP-2 incorporates a precise center-weighted CdS exposure metering system coupled to the lens-aperture and shutter-speed controls. Light-emitting diodes (LEDs) in the viewfinder glow bright red in two signal lights to indicate correct exposure.

In working condition, it comes complete with a genuine Nikon 46mm lens cap.

94% Exc+ with surface scuffs commensurate with age and use, and a small crack in the glass on top of the view finder (see images). There is very little brassing. The camera base has some dimples.

Several variants of the ‘F2′ were available with interchangeable heads (viewfinders).

Not only are these great performers but are superb legacy cameras.
