Miranda S 35mm SLR Camera With Miranda Soligor 50mm f1.9 Lens
This is a lovely example of a 1950s Miranda S 35mm SLR Camera With Miranda Soligor 50mm f1.9 Lens.
In partial working order:-
- The shutter works well on higher speeds.
- Actuation of speed lower than 1/30 is sluggish signifying the need for a CLA.
- The lens does not appear to be stopping down when using the Depth Of Field (DOF) lever
- On pressing the shutter, the lens remains at maximum aperture irrespective of Iris setting.
That said, the cosmetics of the camera are superb with no scratches to the black enamel, no peeling to the leatherette and no damage to the black wrinkle finish of the WLF. It does have slight surface scuffs and blemishes commensurate with age and use.
Subject to a CLA, both camera and lens could probably be returned to full working order. However, the camera presents well and would make a great shelf sitter to grace any Miranda collection.
Early Miranda SLRs, such as this, are now very hard to find, especially in this cosmetic condition which we rate at 95% Exc+, and is offered at a keen price to allow some headroom for a CLA.
