This is a Vintage Interior Fluted Domed Glass And Chrome Bus Roof Light For A Leyland / AEC / Bristol Bus.

The light would need rewiring to meet modern HS&E legislation, and has not been tested. Fixtures and fitting are not included.

The 'Jelly Mould' Glass is in good condition with no chips, cracks or restoration. There is some pitting and rust on the metal base, and some surface pitting, scuffs and scratches in the chromed bezel.

These lamps were commonly used as interior courtesy lights on vintage Leyland, AEC, and Bristol buses. These 12V or 24V units feature a brass or chrome bezel and emitted a soft glow for entry, cab, and saloon stairwells so as to not dazzle the driver or passengers at night.

With suitable expert conversion, it would also make a nice feature light for the home!
