Although large in size, it is quite easy to manoeuvre as it has castors on the base enabling it to roll in all directions. It can also be angled almost horizontally, again helping with manoeuvrability and transportation.
The lamp also comprises:-
- Aluminium fork block, bridle, arms, fork and shade
- Machined stainless steel components
- Cast aluminium base with coated cast iron base weights
- LED Bulb
These lamps are appreciated for their sculptural design and style. They are still available from Anglepoise and cost just short of £3000. We are selling this preloved lamp for considerably less.
For over 70 years, Anglepoise has created table lamps and table lights that are now British design classics. The quintessentially British three-spring 1227 design was invented in 1935 by the renowned engineer, George Carwardine, and the model is still going strong today!
