Epos ES11 Speakers Matched Pair With Walnut Veneer
This vintage, 1990s, Epos ES11 Speakers Matched Pair With Walnut Veneer come with their original operating instructions, black protective plastic speaker covers, and box with internal protective packaging. They are sold without speaker stands, connectors or leads.
Made by Epos Acoustics, Hampshire, UK, these walnut veneered ES11 are in pretty good cosmetic condition, with some scuffs / blemishes on the side of one speaker (see photo).
Bought directly from Doug Brady Hi-Fi, Warrington, Cheshire, we have had them since new, and they have been in use up to last month and are working well.
The box and both speakers all have the same serial number; 008013. A fantastic addition to a vintage audiophile collection!

According to the Epos ES11 operating instructions:-
Amplifiers capable of between 25 and 75 watts output will generally be found to be adequate...
More powerful amplifiers can be used if care is taken to avoid overdriving the loudpeakers...
Amplifiers capable of less than 25 watts are best avoided because they will restrict the dynamic range...
The ES11 will give its best performance when placed 20-30cm from the back wall and 40-50cm from the nearest side wall. A space of about 20cm is required behind the loudspeaker to allow proper operation of the rear-firing reflex port.
Best results will be obtained if your speakers are used on purpose made {rigid open-frame} Epos stands.
