Bakelite Art Deco Black And White Globe Table Lamp

I absolutely love this Bakelite Art Deco Black And White Globe Table Lamp, in A Belisha Beacon Style.  It has a wonderful Bauhaus design.

The base is black catalin with white button feet, with the stand comprising black and white horizontal stripes of the same vintage plastic.  It has been rewired with complementary black flex and fitted with an original vintage white glass Opaline globe lampshade, and a modern LED lightbulb. It just reminds me of a Belisha beacon!

The lamp is in very good condition with a few surface scuffs and scratches in the bakelite commensurate with age and use.

Remedial work undertaken:

Rewired with black flex: 0.6cm, 3 core, PVC sheathed, cotton braided.
New CE marked black plug top fitted along with a 3A fuse.
CE marked CE lumen 6500K daylight balanced LED bulb.

Portable Appliance Testing undertaken (PAT): The lamp has been electrically tested using a flagship Seaward Europa Plus PAT tester, and passed the UK Portable Appliance Inspection.
