Antique Small Copper Lustre Staffordshire Pottery Jug/Creamer
This Antique Copper Lustre Staffordshire Pottery Small Jug/Creamer has a hand-painted floral design in green, yellow and blue. It has a very 'folk art' feel.
Approximate Size
- Height: 14.4cm
- Top Diameter: 6cm (excluding spout)
- Base Diameter: 7cm
Made in Staffordshire, England, in the mid 19th Century, (approx 1850), when Copper Lustre was at its most desirable in candlelit homes. It would make an unusual milk jug/creamer or use as a posy vase with sprigs of herbs in the kitchen.
In fairly good antique condition with no chips, cracks or restoration. It is discoloured, with glazing marks, surface scuffs and scratches commensurate with age and use.
A lovely antique, (over 100 years old), which deserves a place in any retro home!
NB: The photographs have been taken with and without flash hence the differences in colour. The jug is dark brown. The flowers are shown for photographic purposes only and are not included in the sale.
