Antique Electric Motor 5 Inch Diameter
This Antique Electric Motor 5 Inch Diameter is a bit of a mystery... we don't know what it was used in or who made it. It has been suggested that it was used in an early wireless radio or a gramophone. If anyone has any ideas, I'd be pleased to hear from you!
Dating to the early 20th Century, the black coated outer magnetic ferrous casing is in pretty good cosmetic condition with a few surface scuffs and scratches. It hasn't been tested and is being sold as a collectible for display only.
The top of the motor is stamped with a logo with the letters S, V, M Co- but not necessarily in that order. I've tried a search on the logo but that has also proved unsuccessful...
