Antique Colwyn Keeling & Co Late Mayers Small Tureen & Ladle

An exquisite Antique Colwyn Keeling & Co Late Mayers Small Tureen & Ladle, made in approximately 1900 by Keeling & Co. Burslem. Another of the earthenware Staffordshire potteries based at the ‘Dale Hall Works.’

The fluidity of the design is typically late Victorian, being fluted and oval in shape. In very good condition with no chips, cracks or restoration. It does have age related crazing. Original manufacturing defects include; colouration spots, misprints, and pinholes.

• Base Width:- 7.5cm (3″)
• Base length: 10cm (4″)
• Length (handle to handle): ~ 22cm
• Maximum Depth: approx. 14cm

This blue and white printed ware small tureen and ladle is in the Colwynpattern, with a pretty floral design on the lid and sides of the dish, and the inside of the ladle. The back stamp was used from 1886-1936. Ltd was added after 1909 and England after 1891.
