Antique Brass ABOL No.4 Syringe Pump Action Garden Sprayer
This is a wonderful, Edwardian, Antique Brass ABOL No.4 Syringe Pump Action Garden Sprayer, dating to the 1910s.
In very good working condition, with some surface blemishes and a few small dents. It has a beautiful pear shaped hardwood handle, and includes one large brass spray nozzle and three smaller single hole nozzles. Perfect for spraying the roses and other plants!
The larger nozzle screws directly on to either the head or on the side of the syringe when not in use. Two smaller ones are stored on the side of the pump and the third is located on the curved attached head.
Fantastic design and very well engineered, it was manufactured by E.A.White Ltd, Paddock Wood, Kent; otherwise known as Abol Ltd.

The patent dates to 1910 and is an update of the original 1899 patent. This invention, and the accompanying ABOL insecticide, was patented by Albert White, a Hop farmer based at The Hop Farm, Paddock Wood, Kent. This farm and country park, full of Oast houses, is also known to re-enactors and militaria collectors as the home of the annual 'War and Peace Revival,' which is the World's largest military vehicle show and military collectors fair!
