1970s Syro Pendamatic Change / Coin Dispenser Used In Liverpool Bus OKB77
This interesting piece of automobilia is a 1970s Syro Pendamatic Change / Coin Dispenser Used In Liverpool Bus OKB77. Made by Syro of Zuwil, Switzerland, well known manufacturers of steel, iron and ferro-alloys.
Made from non-ferrous metal, the dispenser is in good working condition with some surface scratches and blemishes. A few of the steel screws are missing but this is having no effect on the working condition.
Approximate Size (WHD): 29 x 12.2 x 5.6cm
Engraved on the side with Swiss Made and 31793 GB II
It would have taken the following coins:
¹/2p / 1p / 2p / 5p / 10p / 50p
The small 1/2 pence coin is no longer legal tender but modern versions of all the other coins fit the slots.
The coin is fed through the slot at the top and released through the base by depressing the lever. It would make a great novelty money box or repository for all that loose change!
I assume Liverpool bus, registration number OKB77, must have been scrapped a few years ago...
