1970s Seiko Quartz World Time Desk Clock QZ877B In Wood Surround

This is a wonderful Vintage 1970s Seiko Quartz World Time Desk Clock QZ877B In Wood Surround with a Seikosha Co. Ltd Quartz movement.

Approximate size:- 

• Height: 12.5 cm
• Width:  18.5 cm
• Max. Depth: 17.5 cm

These clocks are becoming quite rare, and this one is in pretty good condition and in working order. The surfaces are slightly scuffed with age. There are no cracks, chips or major scratches.

There are a few defects, including the following:

• Previous owner has etched their initials in the glass face
• The clock has a black plastic back with the battery housing lid missing; this can't really be seen when displayed, (unless you crouch down and look at the base from the rear of the clock). 

The price has been adjusted to account for the defects.

The World Clock works on GMT (Greenwich Mean Time) with a 24-hour clock dial, which can be set to your current GMT time zone: in this case, London. I particularly like the rotating chrome seconds hand which has a chrome aeroplane at its tip.

The case is wood veneered and is angled for ease of viewing when seated.

It runs on one ‘C’ battery (cell), which won’t be included as shipping with batteries fitted is prohibited by most couriers.

This is a great little accessory for the executive office desk or a shelf!

The photos were taken with and without flash, hence the differences in colour. The wood colour is closest to that of the darker images.
