1970s Citizen Cosmotron 7804A Stainless Steel Vintage Automatic Watch

This Japanese made 1970s Citizen Electronic Cosmotron 7804A Stainless Steel Automatic Watch is in extremely good working condition, however, timekeeping accuracy has not been measured.

Citizen claimed that the Cosmotron was:
‘The world’s first genuine electronic wristwatch that has adopted a moving-magnet type balance motor, driven by transistor on the regulating device.’

Cosmetically, the tonneau shaped case and bracelet present superbly for a forty year old watch with a few minor blemishes/scuffs.

As per most vintage watches, the original water resistance rating has not been verified and we would not recommend that this watch is exposed to water. Additionally, it would be prudent to have the watch serviced by a reputable watchmaker before pressing into routine use.

Comes with a mounted Citizen Stainless Steel bracelet with clasp.

The watch case is marked on the back as follows:-
SSB
Citizen Electronic
Water Resistant
7804-790219TA
31000587
60-6111
GN-4-S

The dial is marked:

When the watch is held upside down and the crown depressed, it advances the day. Frequency 6 Hz.

A very nice item to add to your watch collection!
