This 1970s AKAI 4000DS Open Reel to Reel Tape Recorder even comes with its original box but not the internal plastic packaging! The take up reel is included, as are two Realistic branded reel holders.
In excellent cosmetic condition, with a few minor surface scuffs/blemishes, this tape recorder is working well and looks to have had little use. Have a look at/listen to it working in the following You Tube video.

The Akai 4000DS is a three head, four-track, two-channel stereo, reel to reel tape recorder for use with 7" reels. Akai's one-micron gap playback head assured clear playback sound.
