1965 Sterling Silver Tie Clip/Bar And Chain With E Initial Enamel Badge 

This is a rather nice, vintage, Long Service Association Award in the form of a 1965 Sterling Silver Tie Clip/Bar And Chain With E Initial Enamel Badge.

Although the E on the blue enamelled badge denotes the logo for Express Dairies, the 925 silver tie clip would be appropriate with anyone with ‘E’ as an initial letter in their name: calling all Edwards, Ernests or Emilys!

Hallmarked on the tie bar:

• T&S (Birmingham Silversmith: Turner & Simpson, Legge Lane. Manufacturers of good class Silver Ware in Enamel. 1912-1979)
• Anchor (Birmingham Assay Office)
• Lion Passant (925 Silver)
• Q (1965)
• The back of the tie bar is engraved with 'Long Service Association Award'

Very good pre-owned vintage condition. There is some tarnishing of the metal, which is only visible on close inspection.

This would make a great gift for collector’s of silver ephemera, vintage tie pins or commemorative jewellery.
