1963 Parmeko RAF Radio Loudspeaker Made For The Air Ministry 

This is a 1963 Parmeko RAF Radio Loudspeaker Made For The Air Ministry, with the Parmeko label on the front of the speaker case.

The wood cased loudspeaker is in fair condition with a RAF blue paint finish. It has paint loss, surface scuffs and blemishes commensurate with age and use. The speaker cone is intact with wire connections at the rear; it hasn't been tested. 

Approximate Size (WHD) 25.4 (~10") x 25.4  x 14.2 cm

There is a stamp on the speaker case and speaker cone: 

Parmeko Ltd, Leicester

A.M Contract No. A122771/62/0221 (0)

Year 1963

It came from RAF Boulmer, Alnwick, Northumberland, formed in 1937, and currently home to the RAF's numbers 19 and 20 Squadrons: Battlespace Management Force. It would have been used as a part of the airfield's public address system.

It would make a fantastic addition to a radio collection!
