1960s Rabone Rose Wood & Brass 9 Inch Spirit Level

This beautiful vintage tool is a 1960s Rabone Rose Wood & Brass 9 Inch Spirit Level. It is numbered 1626 and can be used both horizontally and vertically. 

A much loved and well used spirit level with a few scuffs, scratches and stains: it has a wonderful patina. Dating to the 1960s, it belonged to a draughting Engineer.

It was made in England by Rabone Chesterman; a company formed from the merger of John Rabone and sons, of Hockley Abbey Works, Birmingham, and James Chesterman & Co toolmakers of Sheffield. A manufacturer of high quality spirit levels, rulers and measures.
