1960s Perdio Marine Direction Finding Radio MW/LW/SW Trawler Band
This 1960s Perdio Marine Direction Finding Radio MW/LW/SW Trawler Band is a very interesting piece of kit and may well have been a prototype.
- There is no model number
- Made by Perdio Electronics Ltd, London EC2, England (which dates it to 1962-1965)
- Approximate Size: 11.5 (Width) x 11.5 (Depth) x 5.5 (Height) inches
- Removable battery box, held in with Dsuz fasteners, which takes 6 x 'D' (U2) batteries/cells, which are not included as most couriers will no longer ship anything containing batteries.
- Cast metal front panel
- Rotating ferrite rod on top of the case
- It had no internal speaker from new. External loudspeaker or headphones are required which are not included.
- LW, MW and Shipping [1.65-4.5Mc/s]
- In good working condition with surface scuffs and blemishes commensurate with age and use. My apologies for the dust; I will clean and sanitise the case prior to shipping and try to remove the old stickers.

Perdio Radio was a British electronics company (and, from 1962, known as Perdio Electronics Limited of Bonhill Street, London). The company was founded by Derek and Joyce Willmott. Derek Willmott was a former RAF pilot and researcher for Decca, and a well regarded inventor.
