1960s Olympus Pen FT 35mm SLR Half Frame Camera With G Zuiko Auto-S f1.4 40mm Lens
This is a nice example of a 1960s Olympus Pen FT 35mm SLR Camera With G Zuiko Auto-S f1.4 40mm Lens. A half frame SLR producing 72 images per 36 exposure 35mm film cassette.
Unlike the Pen F, the later Pen FT has a single-stroke film advance and an integrated light meter, which works on exposure numbers as opposed to f-stops.
The camera is in fair condition with surface scuffs and blemishes, and a very slight dent in one corner on the top of the camera body. This has proved difficult to photograph- see attached image with red circle in the corner marking the dent... We have not had a film through the camera for many years but all the elements on the camera appear to be working.
There is no sign of fungus in the G. Zuiko Auto-S lens and it is in fairly good cosmetic condition with some wear/dirt in the external grooves.
The name, PEN-FT, is etched on the chrome top along with the serial number, 291333. Olympus-PEN F is also etched on the front of the camera, and Made in Japan on the base.
It comes with a Minolta UV lens cap and a worn black leather strap with breaks in the leather. A nice photography related collectible!
The price set for the camera and lens has been adjusted to reflects its condition.
