This lovely looking item is a 1952 Portable Decca Portrola Combined MW/LW Radio And Record Player. Manufactured by Decca, London about the time Queen Elizabeth ascended the throne.

The outside case is covered in brown leatherette (Rexine) and the inside is a combination of plastic and canvas. It has a leather carry handle on one side, which is quite worn.
In pretty good working condition with some scuffs and blemishes commensurate with age and use: see video below.
An expensive piece of equipment when new, it cost £27 in 1952 which is equivalent to £855 today! This isn't just a valve based three speed record player (33 1/3, 45 and 78 rpm) but also a MW/LW radio! A lovely piece of nostalgia and vintage HiFi!
It works on AC current and 200-250 Volts, and has been successfully electrically PAT tested.
