Novelty, Long Stemmed/Necked, Brown & White Cat Bud Vase

This is a lovely, kitsch, novelty long stemmed/necked brown & white cat bud vase, dating to approximately the 1950s/60s. It has no manufacturer’s back mark but was probably made in Japan. They are often seen in black but rarely brown and white, and are contemporary with the highly regarded, and very expensive, Arthur Wood Cat bud vases.

I have photographed it with a small bunch of dried flowers (which are not included in the sale) but give you an impression of how cute it may look with a long stemmed rose. It’s pretty tall!

It is in good condition, with no restoration work or cracks. It does have manufacturing defects including bubbles and glazing marks.
