1950s Leak Valve Tuner VS 6kHz to 24 kHz To Match the Leak Point One Amplifier

It's not often you come across a Vintage late 1940s / 1950s Leak Valve Tuner VS 6kHz to 24 kHz To Match the Leak Point One Amplifier.

Manufactured by  the famous H.J. Leak & Co. Ltd, the VS (Variable Selectivity) mono radio tuner has all the hallmarks of an early Leak in terms of the Art Deco styling of the bronze coloured front panel. It is the precursor to the Leak Trough Line Mono Tuner.

In pretty good cosmetic condition commensurate with its age and use. It is being supplied as a collector's item, not tested, in accordance with our terms and conditions.

You might ask, where is the rest of it, but the tuner was actually supplied as a chassis for building in to the HiFi system. In this case, it was made to complement the Leak Point One Mono Pre-Amplifier, a Mono Pre-Amplifier which was used with the Leak TL/10, TL/12 or TL/25 Power Amplifiers.

Comprising 5 valves, the tuner broadcast on Long wave (LW), Medium Wave (MW) and Short Wave (AM), and was powered by an external power supply (AC: 6.3 & 250 - 450 Volt).
