1950s Kodak 620 Model B31 Medium Format Roll Film Camera
This is a very nice 1950s Kodak 620 Model B31 Medium Format Roll Film Camera, with Angenieux Kodak Anastigmat 100mm f4.5 lens. Made in France, these cameras are quite simple in design and difficult to find in such good condition. It takes 6x6cm or 6x9cm images on 620 medium format roll film.
Comes complete with original Kodak brown leather ‘Ever Ready Case,’ which is in good condition, with a few scuffs and marks in the leather commensurate with age and use. The previous owner, FH Clarke, has written his previous addresses on the inside of the case, including when he lived at Calais where I am assuming the camera was originally bought: Jean Bouttie, Calais Photo. It also has the original spool and 6x6cm film mask.
The camera would probably benefit from a CLA (clean, lubricate and adjust) to ensure that it is in peak working order. We haven’t had a roll of film through the camera but the bellows seem to be fully intact, and the camera cocks and shutter depresses with no visible problems. There are some blemishes on the camera but cosmetically it is in extremely good condition both internally and externally.
