1950s Klaxon Klaxet Industrial Signal Horn 250VAC 50Hz

This is a mains driven, short trumpet, vintage 1950s Klaxon Klaxet Industrial Signal Horn 250VAC 50Hz.

• Face Diameter: 11.2cm
• Depth: 10cm

It is working and very loud, akin to a classic submarine klaxon when the Captain shouts 'Dive, Dive Dive,' (at least according to my hubby who says he is a fount of all knowledge on such things...). Launched in the 1920s, the early Klaxet was often used as a car horn or on other forms of transport, e.g. ships, or in factories as a warning device. This one is later and probably used in a small factory setting.

In fairly good condition, the black coating has scuffs and blemishes commensurate with age and use. The label is barely legible but you can make out"-
