1950s Grays Pottery D647 Gaiety Ware Brown Jug

This is an unusual three-quarter Imperial pint (0.4 litres) Gray’s Pottery D647 Gaiety Ware Brown Jug. Made in the 1950s by Gray’s Pottery, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, UK.

Approximate Size:-

  • Height:- 10.8cm
  • Base Diameter:- 7.2cm
  • Width (Handle to Spout) :- 14cm

It is in good used condition with no cracks, chips or restoration. However, it is not flawless. There are manufacturing defects that have been present since the jug was first made, and a few flecks of paint missing.

Printed Clipper Back Mark (used from the 1930s to 1961).
