1950s Cygnet Reelek Desk Fan With Polythene Blue Blades And A Cream Bakelite Body

This is a really good working example of an original 1950s Cygnet Reelek Desk Fan With Polythene Blue Blades And A Cream Bakelite Body.

There are a few minor scuffs and blemishes commensurate with age and use. Otherwise, it is in fantastic original working condition, and quiet during operation.

Approximate Size (WHD):- 10.4cm (Base) x 29cm (including blade) x 15.6cm (Base) 

Made in England by Reelek Appliances Limited, Baldock, Hertfordshire, from Bakelite / Ivory Urea. The cream body is complemented by three translucent polythene sea green/blue blades. Green felt has been applied to the base to protect your furniture from scratches.

This beautiful swan-like necked fan can be used on a table top/ desk, and there is a hole on the base to allow wall hanging; which, as it is quite heavy, I wouldn't recommend...

Turn the fan on by depressing the cream bakelite push button. The slightly rusty metal knob at the rear can be tightened / loosened allowing the fan head limited rotation.
