1950s Atomic Age Red Plastic & Brass Small Table Lamp

This is an absolutely wonderful 1950s Atomic Age Red Plastic & Brass Small Table Lamp. I’ve never seen another! Perfect for that small desk or for use as accent lighting in a confined space. It has been rewired with matching braided red wire and is working beautifully.

The lamp has a futuristic 1950s Space Age design: it reminds me of the Apollo Space Capsule, a chemical molecule or 'The Day of the Triffids!' Comprises a red plastic and brass base, and three brass legs with red plastic bobble feet at the end. A modern LED light bulb gives the lamp a very retro feel and makes the whole ensemble look like a 1950s idea of an alien! The bulb is included.

The cream plastic switch is located on the main body of the lamp and is turned to switch the lamp on/off. It can also be switched on/off via the new brass bayonet bulb holder. The lamp has been electrically tested via a calibrated PAT (portable appliance test) tester.

In very good condition, the red paint and legs do have some scuffs and surface scratches commensurate with age and use.
