1950s Amplion Activette Model HB Medresco Hearing Aid Battery Charger
This small 1950s Amplion Activette Model HB Medresco Hearing Aid Battery Charger would be a wonderful addition to any collection of medical instruments or hearing devices!
It being sold as a collectible, for display only, and has not been tested. It's a rare survivor from the time when hearing aids were bulky and cumbersome, and 'ate' batteries, but still much appreciated by the hard of hearing.

The kit was used for reactivating hearing aid dry batteries, 15, 22, 30 and 45 volts H.T and 1.5 volts L.T. when connected to a 240 volt AC mains supply or Medresco batteries via a 4-pin midget socket. The instructions shown in the images have been taken from another device and are not included in this listing.
It was made by AMPLION (1932) Ltd, London W1. Amplion are better known as manufacturers of Amplion loudspeakers, public address equipment and wireless receivers. Medresco (UK Medical Research Council) was the first UK health service (NHS) hearing aid device provider.
