1950s 12 inch Vintage Limit Desk Fan With Blue Blades And Grey Body

This is a really good working example of an original 1950s 12 inch Vintage Limit Desk Fan With Blue Blades And Grey Body. It was Made in England by Verity Fans (Holdings) Limited.

It is a very pale grey-cream in colour with complementary blue blades.

There is some paint loss and a few scuffs and scratches commensurate with age and use. Otherwise, it is in fantastic original condition. The four aluminium blades are in beautiful working order.

The fan is equipped with a Verity 220/240 volts motor. It is in working condition, with two working speeds (1 is fast and 2 is slow). 

The oscillator is engaged by depressing the metal knob on top of the stand at the back of the fan. The knob also screws out to allow access to the oil reservoir. You can adjust the height of the fan via the black screw knob on the main stand.

This is a great looking fan for a retro office or study!

In addition, the fan has had remedial work along with Portable Appliance Testing (PAT), which should ensure electrical safety and reliable operation for many years. It is just waiting for you to add your own plug adapter (if outside the UK). A wonderful looking vintage fan to complement any home décor!

Restoration work undertaken

Rewired with blue & white checkered cotton braided flex: 
New CE marked white Safety plug top fitted along with a 3A fuse.
Stripped, cleaned and lubricated.
