1942 WW2 Unipivot Brass Galvanometer No.24A MKI By Cambridge Instrument Co Ltd
This is a lovely, genuine, 1942 WW2 Unipivot Brass Galvanometer No.24A MKI By Cambridge Instrument Co Ltd (CICo). Presented in its Tan Leather Carry Case, the galvanometer even comes with its original test certificate, war office number, and sales label dated to 28th April 1942.
Developed by CICo for military use during WW2, this black coated brass galvanometer was a slightly more robust design than the standard version.
- Diameter: 10.4 cm (~4")
- Depth: 4.7 cm
The leather case, made by F.Limited, is in fairly good vintage condition with a few surface scuffs, rust, and minor scratches.
The black lacquered brass meter is in very good cosmetic condition, with some surface scuffs and scratches where it has been in contact with the tightly fitted transit case. The mirror is slightly dirty. It has not been tested but appears to be working: i.e. needle deflects. It has a mirror scale graduated 30..0..30
The Galvanometer has the following markings:-
Galvo No. 24A MK I
C.I.Co Ltd
RES 49.1 Ω
No. L 133600
