1941 Hartmann And Braun Moving Coil Insulation Meter IKb / FI
This interesting looking test meter is a 1941 Hartmann And Braun Moving Coil Insulation Meter IKb / FI. Measured the insulation resistance of electrical temperature and supply measuring systems on board aircraft used by the Luftwaffe during WW2.
A beautifully made instrument, it is contained within an oak box with a hinged lid. According to the Hartmann and Braun records, this particular device, 1832010, was made between December 17, 1940, and July 31, 1941.
The test meter should work from a set of torch batteries located at the base of the instrument: not included due to the difficulty with shipping anything containing batteries. It has not been tested and is being sold as a collectible for display only.
The top of the meter is marked as follows:-
Isolationsprüfung : Insulation test (using terminals I and II)
Spannungsmessung: Voltage measurement (using terminals II and III)
BA 3204
HB 1832010
The meter is in pretty good condition but comes without leads / connectors, and a metal plate, which should cover the knurled button on the side of the case, is missing.
The push button at the bottom left is required to check the measurement voltage when measuring the insulation.
