1940s WW2 Aircraft Oil Temperature Cockpit Gauge
This unusual meter is a 1940s WW2 Aircraft Oil Temperature Cockpit Gauge which was originally used in a RAF WW2 warbird.
This Vintage Scientific Instrument/Gadget/Meter is sold as a collectible only. It is in fair cosmetic condition with surface scuffs and scratches.
It has been slightly modified, in its civilian life, with the addition of a metal stand on the face and a capacitor on the rear. Both of which could probably be removed if preferred. Some of the dial marks have also been obscured. Originally, it would have measured oil temperature in degrees celsius.
The gauge we have for sale has no RAF stores number, or it may have also been concealed, and is marked:-
0 to 120
OIL (obscured)
oC
Approximate Size:-
- Height 6cm
- Width: 6.2 cm
- Depth: 5cm
- Dial Diameter: 5.2cm (~2")
A nice collectible for the Classic Aircraft or gadget enthusiast!
