1940s Universal Avometer Model 7 With Tan Leather Case
This is a very nice vintage 1940s Universal Avometer Model 7 With Tan Leather Transit Case and leads.
The meter is in good working condition with some slight scuffs on the surface commensurate with age and use. The green cloth lined transit case is scuffed, grubby and worn but intact: it smells a bit musty...
Approximate Dimensions (WHD): 16.7 x 20.4 x 9.6cm
A wonderful piece of vintage electronic history, although it does appear to be in working condition, it is being is sold as a collectible as I can't attest to its accuracy.
A multimeter, the model 7 measures in ohms, amps, volts and decibels. The working instructions are printed on a metal label on the rear of the instrument.
Made from 1936 to 1948, model 7 has a 1 mA movement and is housed in an aluminium case. This model is renowned for its reliability and robustness such that contemporary vintage service manuals for radios often include voltage values based on this type of meter.
