1940s Octagonal Selo Photographic Foldable Reflector Lamp Shade
This is an absolutely gorgeous foldable aluminium lampshade, which was originally a reflector (light shade) and part of a Photographic Ilford Selo Lighting Set.
Made by the black and white photographic manufacturer Ilford Limited of Ilford, London, UK based on a design going back to the 1930s: this lamp shade dates to the 1940s.
In good condition, the metal does have some scuffs and surface scratches commensurate with age and use.
- Width of the bottom of each section: 10.2cm
- Height (from Base to top: 16.5cm
- Approximate width of neck opening: 5cm (2")
- Approximate bottom width: 25.5cm (10")
A novel design which, with the correct fittings (not supplied), would be an ideal lamp shade for the industrially themed room!
