1944 MI 22201 RCA Victor Radio Loudspeaker Made For The British Army AR88

This is a 1940s MI 22201 RCA Victor Radio Loudspeaker Made For The RAF & Y Stations. It was made to accompany an AR88 Radio Receiver used extensively by the Allied forces during WW2.

Approximate Size (WHD) 29.4 x 27.2 (including rubber feet) x 15.4 cm

There is a metal label on the base marked:

Loudspeaker
MI-2201
Manufactured 1940s
RCA Victor Company Ltd

The loudspeaker is in fair condition with a crackle black paint finish. It has surface scuffs, rust, and blemishes commensurate with age and use. There is no backing plate but not all were issued with a blacking plate if used in a non-tropical theatre of war e.g. the UK.

It would make a fantastic addition to a radio collection!
