1940s Lowther Moving Coil Turntable Pick Up / Tone Arm 

This is a preowned Vintage 1940s Lowther Moving Coil Turntable Pick Up / Tone Arm   For Restoration or Spares/Repairs. I've no idea if it is complete.

In fair-poor used condition with significant blemishes and loss of surface coating, particularly at the head. The signal cable probably requires a rewire, and the foam has degraded. Similarly, we are unsure if the mounting arrangement etc.is complete...

A wonderful historical artefact from the early days of British HiFi history sold as a collectible item only. The patent for this design was published in 1941 by the inventor Paul G.A.H Voigt, patent GB538058, and made by Lowther.

Best known for their loudspeakers, The Lowther Manufacturing Company, Kent, UK, was founded in 1930 and are still manufacturing today.
