1940s British Straight Sending Morse Key

This morse key is a 1940s British Straight Sending Morse Key.  Comprising a brass straight arm, with a large brown bakelite knob, sitting on a Tufnol base. There is no obvious maker's mark.

Approximate Size:

  • Base Width: 6.4 cm/ 2.5"
  • Height (including knob): 7.8 cm/ 3"
  • Base Length: 15.4 cm / 6"

It is very similar in design to the Straight Keys used on, for example, the Gamages Practice Set and the British GPO. It doesn't appear to have been used by the military during WW2, and was perhaps for civilian use.

In fairly good condition, it does have some some surface blemishes commensurate with age and use.
