1930s Universal Avometer Model 2 13 Range With Tan Leather Transit Case
This is a very nice vintage 1930s Universal Avometer Model 2 13 Range With Tan Leather Transit Case and leads.
The meter is in fairly good cosmetic condition with some scuffs on the black painted surface commensurate with age and use. The battery case cover is missing and wire terminals upgraded to allow use of modern battery: not included. The transit case is scuffed, grubby and worn but intact: it smells slightly musty due to its age.
Approximate Dimensions (WHD): 16.7 x 20.4 x 9.6cm
A wonderful piece of vintage electronic history and, although it does appear to be in working condition, it is being is sold as a collectible as I can't attest to its accuracy.
A multimeter, the model 2 measures in ohms, amps and volts. The working instructions are printed on a metal label on the rear of the instrument.
Made in ~1937, this intermediate model 2 has a black bakelite front with fuse holder, and a black painted aluminium case with wrinkle finish.
