This is a wonderful 1930s Type ACM-R Bakelite Room Thermostat With Fahrenheit And Centigrade Scale Made By Robert Maclaren.

A beautiful octagonal shape in bakelite, with a brass scale and bakelite turning knob. In good cosmetic condition, the brass scale has discoloured and the bakelite has a fews scuffs and blemishes commensurate with age and use.

It would make a great collectible for those whom love vintage electrical gear and vintage home decor. You could even use it as a paperweight!

We are selling it for display only as its 90 years old and won't meet modern Health and Safety electrical standards.
