1930s Turley and Williams Pewter 1/2 Gill Drinks Measure
This is a 1930s Turley and Williams Pewter 1/2 Gill Drinks Measure. It is marked on the rim with
- a Crown and GR6
- A pewterers maker's mark, which I can't decipher
This indicates that it was made during the reign of King George VI (the late Queen's Father).
The base is inscribed with:-
Turley and Williams Ltd, Birmingham.
It is in well used vintage condition with surface scratches, dents in the neck and dings. I haven’t attempted to polish it as some people prefer to do this themselves.
