A lovely 1930s Royal Doulton Dickens Ware Espresso Cup And Saucer. Pattern Number D5175 Signed By Noke.
The cup is beautifully printed with a street scene including the character ‘Bill Sykes’ and his dog 'Bullseye' from Charles Dickens’ ‘Oliver Twist.’ The saucer features 'Tony Weller' from 'The Pickwick Papers.'
They are both in very good condition with vibrant colours and no chips, cracks or restoration. The set does have small manufacturing defects including bubbles and pinholes. There is also very slight crazing and rim discolouration.
The base of each is marked with the Royal Doulton post 1930s back stamp, the pattern number D5175, (which dates to 1932), and the character names.
