A lovely 1930s Royal Doulton Dickens Ware Alfred Jingle Lipped Fluted 6.5 Inch Soup Bowl. Pattern Number D2973.

The fluted dish is beautifully printed with a street scene including the character ‘Alfred Jingle ' from Charles Dickens' The Pickwick Papers.

In very good condition with vibrant colours and no chips, cracks or restoration. The dish does have some manufacturing defects including bubbles and black marks in the glaze. 

The base is marked with the special Dickens Ware stamp, the pattern number D2973, and the character name, Alfred Jingle.
