1930s HO-Gauge Trix Express 20 052 0-4-0 Pantograph Electric Locomotive

This is an interesting 1930s HO-Gauge Trix Express 20/052 0-4-0 Pantograph Electric Locomotive in need of some restoration.

The loco was made by Trix of Nuremberg, Germany, (now part of Märklin), and is a half zero (H0) table top, 4-wheel model train designed to run on a three rail 16.5mm track (1:87), with a sliding contact.  It is 11 cm in length.

The styling of this version suggests that it dates to ~ 1937.

It is being sold for display only, it is untested, and has a few issues including:-

• missing bump stops/ couplings
  
• Loose wiring
• Broken pantographs
• Motor is a loose fit in the housing
• Loss of paint/ surface blemishes

There may be other problems which I haven't noticed.

Despite its defects, this model is highly collectible and incredibly difficult to find.
