1930s Carlton Ware Rock Garden Ribbed Two-handled Jug Pattern 1244
This small 1930s Carlton Ware Rock Garden Ribbed Two-handled Jug Pattern 1244 was manufactured in Staffordshire, UK.
It has a pale green background with embossed spring flowers in an array of vibrant colours. The pattern is 1244 “Rock Garden," but this is also known as Garden Wall.

Base Diameter – 7.3 cms (2.9″)
Jug Height- 12.6cm (5″)
It is in good condition, with no restoration work, cracks, or chips. There is slight staining on the inside of the vase towards the bottom.
This would make a great addition to a Carlton Ware collection. It would also look lovely filled with a posy of spring flowers or dried flowers!

Some Information on Carlton ware
Carlton Ware was a pottery manufacturer based in Stoke-on-Trent. The company is known for its tableware, usually embellished with highly decorated leaves, flowers or fruit. It also made the ceramic toucans as promotional items for Guinness. It produced hand-painted domestic pottery in high art deco styles during the 1920s and 1930s. High lustre was introduced in 1949.
Carlton Ware introduced the embossed Rock Garden design in 1934/35, it was also commonly known as Garden Wall. It was produced in three colour ways: green, peach and grey.
