1930s Agro Working Electric Butler Alarm Internal Door Bell 

Never miss another ring on the door with this wonderful 1930s Agro Working Electric Butler Alarm Internal Door Bell.

Dating to the Art Deco period, it is made from dark Brown Bakelite with a Agro 6-12 volt DC electric door/butler/railway bell and silver coloured steel gong.

A wonderful piece of vintage history, in very good used condition, with scratches and scuffs commensurate with age and use. The gong on the bell is slightly pitted and has rust spots.

The bell dates to the 1930s and was made in England, by Agro, and is numbered 296.

This type of bell was often used as a door opening alarm for shops/offices as well as to augment the sound of the external door bell in homes and railway signal boxes.
